The Laboratory of Georesources  is organizing the ‘International Conference on Seismology’, which will take place on 7 April 2026 from 09:30 to 12:30 (GMT+1) at the ENSTAB Amphitheater, École Nationale des Sciences et Technologies de l’Environnement de Borj Cédria, Tunisia (https://enstab.rnu.tn/).

The conference will focus on the theme ‘Seismic Crises in Greece: Seismotectonic and Seismic Hazard Implications’, addressing key issues related to recent earthquake activity and its geodynamic context in the Mediterranean region.

The event will feature keynote lectures by distinguished scholars from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, including Prof. Vasileios Karakostas, who will present on ‘The 2025 seismic crisis in Santorini’, and Prof. Eleftheria Papadimitriou, who will discuss ‘The Recent seismic sequences in Greece and their geodynamic implications’.

Bringing together researchers, students, and professionals, the conference aims to foster scientific exchange, strengthen collaboration across Mediterranean geoscience communities, and promote dialogue on seismic hazard, risk reduction, and resilience.
