Hydrogeology

Hydrogeological research is carried out in several steps, from the characterization of aquifers to the modelling of the groundwater flow and solute transport. Among the main tasks often carried out, we cite the development of hydrogeological correlations, the analysis of groundwater levels and quality on spatiotemporal scales, the assessment of aquifer recharge and vulnerability and groundwater balances, calibration and validation of groundwater models, and development of management tools.
