Geophysics

Geophysics activities concern gravity, electric, seismic and electro-magnetic investigations of deep and near surface groundwater tables and Petroleum  geologic structures and reservoirs, in addition to soil saturation studies and water table recharges. We investigate seismic reflection and gravity exploration of large to medium scale sedimentary basins for water and georessources. Geoelectrical techniques (DC Resistivity, Electrical Resistivity Tomography & Time Domain ElectromagneticTDEM) to investigate geothermal plumes, karst systems and complex alluvial aquifers. Because of this effect, groundwater is a good target for electrical and electromagnetic geophysical methods that measure resistivity. The geoelectrical method has been used to identify groundwater exploration targets and to site wells in a variety of geologic conditions.
