Dr. Rafika Ben Lasmar is an Assistant Professor in Geophysics at the Department of Geology, Faculty of Sciences of Tunis El Manar,University of Tunis El Manar (Tunisia), and a member of the Laboratory of Georesources (LGR) at the Water Research and Technologies Centre (CERTE), Borj-Cédria. She holds a PhD in Geosciences-Applied Geophysics (2018) and an engineering degree in Geosciences. Her expertise is related to geology, applied geophysics (seismic reflection, well logging and electrical prospecting), aquifer characterization, hydrogeology of the Northern Sahara Aquifer System (SASS), geological mapping and GIS. She has developed several case studies in Southern Tunisia (Jeffara-Dahar, Tataouine) and Northern Tunisia, and has published in journals such as Natural Resources Research, Hydrogeology Journal and Arabian Journal of Geosciences. She has been involved in national research projects on integrated water resources management and in a research agreement with the DGRE, the CERTE and the CRDA Tataouine. She supervises students for engineer and master degrees.
