Assistant Professor

Dr. Nesrine OUCHIR is an Assistant Professor in Environmental Geology at the Laboratory of Geo-Resources (LGR) Centre for Water Research and Technologies (CERTE) Tunisia and the Faculty of Science of Bizerte.  Her expertise includes geochemistry, hydrochemistry, aquatic ecosystem assessment, trace metal and metalloid contamination, water–sediment interactions and diatom-based bioindication for water quality assessment. Her research interests also include the assessment of human-caused pressures and the effects of climate change on ecosystems. She is also interested, in combining biological indicators with multivariate statistical analyses to improve environmental monitoring, pollution assessment and the evaluation of how ecosystems respond to environmental change.
